Bitcoin Spot ETFs See Fourfold Influx, Ether ETF Outflows Decelerate

On August 8, spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a dramatic surge in inflows, reaching $192.56 million, a fourfold increase from the previous day’s $45.14 million, according to SoSoValue.

Bitcoin ETF Inflows

BlackRock’s IBIT led the charge with $157.6 million in inflows, pushing its total to $20.3 billion since its launch. WisdomTree’s BTCW also saw significant inflows of $118.5 million, its highest amount since inception. These two funds were the only ones to see a second consecutive day of inflows.

Fidelity’s FBTC and ARK 21Shares’s ARKB also recorded additional inflows, with $65.2 million and $32.8 million, respectively. On the other hand, VanEck’s HODL fund saw the smallest inflow at $3.4 million.

These inflows helped counterbalance the $2.9 million that left Grayscale’s GBTC, which has experienced over $19.3 billion in outflows since its launch. Other Bitcoin ETFs showed neutral flow patterns.

Trading Volume and Cumulative Inflows

The trading volume for these Bitcoin ETFs surged to $2.02 billion, surpassing the previous day’s $1.79 billion. Cumulative net inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs now total $17.43 billion.

Ethereum ETF Outflows

In contrast, Ethereum ETFs experienced net outflows of $2.9 million on August 8. Grayscale’s ETHE fund led the outflows with $19.8 million departing. Fidelity’s FETH also saw its first day of outflows since its launch, with $2.6 million leaving.

BlackRock’s ETHA, Grayscale’s Ether Mini Trust, and Bitwise’s ETHW were the only Ethereum ETFs to record inflows, totaling $11.7 million, $5 million, and $2.8 million, respectively. Other Ethereum ETFs saw no new flows.

This marked the second consecutive day of outflows, although the amount was notably lower than the $23.7 million observed the previous day.

Trading Volume and Cumulative Outflows

Trading volume for Ethereum ETFs increased slightly to $338.49 million. Cumulative net outflows from these funds stand at $390.23 million.

As of the latest data, Bitcoin is trading at $60,914, and Ethereum is priced at $2,688.
